As the founder of Holiday House Design Show, an interior designer and a 23-year breast cancer survivor, COVID-19 is not the first challenge I have faced. I have held the annual fall NYC showhouse for the last 12 years and the annual summer Hamptons showhouse for the last 4 years to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation®, yet during this time that proved impossible. The health and safety of our staff, design community and visitors are our top priorities, and we know that breast cancer patients and survivors are at an even higher risk. Therefore, I had to make the difficult decision to cancel our brick and mortar events until we feel it is safe enough to return.
In an effort to move forward with our new normal, we decided to pivot and produce virtual designer showhouses to be published in Hamptons Magazine, Modern Luxury Interiors NY Metro Magazine and HGTV to continue raising money for breast cancer research and keep our community engaged and safe. Although we have gone virtual, you will find that these virtual showhouses are packed with rooms crafted by interiors icons and tons of real life design inspiration to transform your own abode. Huge thanks to the teams at each of these publications for making this dream a reality.
Holiday House Design Show has pivoted and gone virtual in an effort to keep our staff, designers and visitors safe while continuing to raise funds for breast cancer research and keeping our design community engaged during this time.
